Diamond qubits undergo repeated error correction
Aug 6, 2015
QuTech researchers repeatedly detect and correct phase errors in a logical qubit encoded in diamond. The information stays encoded during the process, allowing successive correction rounds to stop these errors from accumulating.
Why it matters
Keeping information encoded during repeated correction is a necessary step toward reliable, extended quantum computations.
