QuTech opens Quantum Inspire, a public cloud platform with a spin-qubit processor
Apr 20, 2020
Delft's QuTech launches Quantum Inspire, which it calls Europe's first public quantum computing platform. Users can run programs on a two-qubit silicon spin processor and a five-qubit superconducting processor over the internet.
Why it matters
It put spin qubits, made much like ordinary transistors, in front of outside users for the first time, alongside the superconducting qubits that dominated cloud offerings.
