QuTech teleports a qubit between non-neighboring network nodes

Sophie Hermans and colleagues teleport quantum states across a three-node network of solid-state spins. An intermediate node swaps entanglement, and successful preparation of the teleportation link is signaled before use.

Why it matters

Teleportation beyond a direct link tests the memory and coordination needed to transfer quantum information through larger networks.
