Diraq reports high-fidelity silicon qubits made on a 300-mm foundry line

Oct 21, 2024

A Diraq-led team reports a two-qubit silicon device fabricated on a 300-mm semiconductor line. Gate-set tomography finds single- and two-qubit control above 99% fidelity and state preparation and measurement above 99.9%; this is a small device, not a wafer-sized processor.

Why it matters

Retaining accurate quantum control after industrial fabrication is a prerequisite for scaling silicon-spin processors beyond laboratory devices.
