France commits another €1 billion to its quantum strategy

President Emmanuel Macron announces an additional €1 billion for France's national quantum strategy. The France 2030 funding covers 2026–2030 and supports hardware, software, industrial capacity and public procurement.
Why it matters
The new commitment extends France's effort to turn quantum research into a domestic computing industry, using government purchasing as well as research support.
