NIST plans to drop RSA and elliptic-curve encryption from its standards by 2035

Due 2035

NIST says it will deprecate and then remove quantum-vulnerable public-key algorithms such as RSA and elliptic-curve cryptography from its standards by 2035. Its 2024 draft transition plan (NIST IR 8547) proposes deprecating them after 2030 and disallowing them after 2035.
