Amazon Braket opens to all AWS customers after an eight-month preview
Aug 13, 2020
On Aug. 13, 2020, Amazon Web Services made its Braket quantum cloud service generally available, letting any AWS customer run programs on a simulator and on quantum computers from D-Wave, IonQ and Rigetti.
Why it matters
It made quantum hardware from several makers a regular, pay-as-you-go cloud product on one of the largest cloud platforms, not only a preview for selected customers.
