Harvard links quantum memories through a 35 km urban fiber loop

Harvard researchers report entanglement between two diamond-based quantum memories through a 35 km fiber loop in the Boston area. The 35 km figure is the fiber length, not the distance between memories. The work appeared in Nature in 2024.
