IBM opens its first European quantum data center

IBM opens a quantum data center in Ehningen, Germany, with two Eagle-based systems available through the cloud. A Heron-based system is announced for later deployment.

Why it matters

Hosting quantum computers in Europe gives users regional access and more options for keeping their computation within European infrastructure.
